K.C. Begeman, DPT, OMPT
K.C. graduated from Wayne State University in 2004 with his Masters of Physical Therapy degree. He then returned to Wayne State to continue his education and received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2008. K.C. also attended Oakland University where he completed his graduate certificate in Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy in 2008. He is a certified clinical instructor through the American Physical Therapy Association.
K.C.’s expertise in therapeutic exercise combined with his specialized manual therapy skills has allowed him to specialize in spine and extremity orthopedic conditions, including post operative cases. He has evaluated and treated hundreds of athletes throughout his career ranging from weekend warriors to professional athletes. K.C. works closely with physicians and surgeons to develop the right plan for the best possible results for his patients. He will implement a rehabilitation program that will individually suit your needs and allow you to accomplish your goals.
Mike Prudhomme, DPT, OMPT, OCS, CLT, CNDT
Mike Prudhomme, one of the founders of Healthcore Physical Therapy, holds a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from Oakland University in 2011. He graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in physical therapy in 1999 from Florida International University. He completed a one year orthopedic clinical residency in 2005 and received board certification as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) in 2007. In addition, he completed a two year orthopedic manual therapy fellowship (OMPT) in 2008 and is a Certified Lymphedema Therapist (CLT) as of 2009. Mike received certification as a Certified Neural Developmental Therapist with specialization in stroke and traumatic brain injury (CNDT) and has extensive experience in patient orthopedic physical therapy for all ages including infants and the pediatric population.
Among Mike's specialties are clinical diagnosis and treatment of spine disorders, degenerative conditions, sports injuries, neurological disorders and lymphedema.
Mike's professional and caring approach with emphasis on empowering patients through the understanding of their condition, advanced clinical reasoning, hands-on manual therapy skills and specific medical exercise techniques focuses on his goal for the patient to optimize daily functional performance and return to normal activities.
